Fallout Vault-deur maakt ons huis helemaal af…

 Dat Fallout 4 een geslaagde game is dat wisten we al… Dat er die-hard fans zijn die de game helemaal kapot spelen, gekleed gaan als een Pip-boy of de mensen die vuilnisbelten afstruinen opzoek naar scaps…

De vader van zo een die-hard fan, zocht dus vuilnisbelten af om een Fallout Vault deur te maken voor Halloween…

Het resultaat ziet er fantastisch uit! De foto van de deur werd op Reddit gepost en het internet werd gek…

Na het Halloween feest kwam reddit gebruiker  staplerinjelle terug op haar pagina en wist niet wat haar overkwam… Ook haar vader was verrast en dankbaar voor de 15 seconden internet-faam…

Omdat er zo veel vragen werden gesteld over dit kunstig werkje, poste ze gelijk een FAQ…

En waarschijnlijk hebben jullie ook dezelfde vragen en daarom posten wij dan ook de FAQ…want wij zijn lui…

• Yes, we know there are only 122 canon vaults. We debated which official vault to pick–looking at West Coast ones specifically, since we’re in California–but couldn’t decide. So, we made our own; 146 is a rearrangement of our wedding date. For Halloween, my husband wore a matching 146 jumpsuit, while I was a Wasteland raider.
• The “door” is actually a wall decoration in our living room that’s around four feet square.
• My dad is not a denizen of the Internet, so he didn’t take any progress photos. 😦 However, he has promised to do a detailed writeup of his construction process and list the materials, which included silver insulation Styrofoam, cardboard, a lid from a container of shaving cream, and a fruit cup from Chick-Fil-A, among other things.
• Unfortunately, he isn’t planning on making any more, taking commissions, etc. One reason is because he ran out of one main component: the nasal spray nozzle “rivets” around the diameter. (Why he had 36 of these in his possession to begin with, I don’t want to know.)
• Thanks to you all, he’s considering making a Reddit account, so you may see him around /r/DIY in the future, especially around Halloween!
• And finally: grammar Nazis of Reddit, you are right about the error in both of my post titles. I have no excuse as I should know better.
